The Principal – Tim Pike

B Eng. Hons Civil, NZCE (Civil), CPEng, IntPE,(NZ) GSNZAP

Tim Pike has been working in the engineering field for more than 30 years. He has extensive experience in civil design, stormwater management, structural design and land development engineering.

Tim has a particular interest in fire engineering and is a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (US) which allows Tim to have a high degree of market and technical knowledge.

Tim’s significant engineering experience allows him to view projects from a broad perspective. He can visualise the total package for clients – civil, structural, fire, architectural and legislative – and guide them to a successful conclusion. Integrated design approach is a specific passion.

Tim has been responsible for a wide range of projects including:
 
Lowe Family Performing Arts Centre, Hastings:
Design of all civil, structural and fire aspects of this state-of-the-art auditorium, classroom and supporting spaces.
 
Shed 3 Gisborne:
Structural and fire design of Shed 3 refurbishment on the Gisborne waterfront involving the conversion of a derelict wharf building into a top entertainment and function centre.
 
Cape Kidnappers Golf Course Accommodation Complex:
Project leader for all civil, structural and fire engineering content. Preparation of supporting documentation for resource consents with district and regional councils. Design and drawing preparation of roading, underground services, building platforms and ancillary structures.
 
Kensington Sports Complex, Whangarei:
Design of all civil, structural and fire engineering components for redevelopment of an existing indoor basketball facility to incorporate multi-purpose activities, conference facilities, squash courts and gymnasium.
 
Nimon and Sons Bus Transport Centre:
Project lead for all aspects of this innovative Whakatu workshop project including civil and structural design, site development, consenting, contract management and construction monitoring.
